Clint & Allyssa's Wedding
Clint & Allyssa got married during the Covid-19 pandemic!
Clint and Allyssa had planned a public wedding on March 28th 2020 with family and friends at a local church. However, a couple weeks beforehand the looming Covid-19 led them to start making steady changes from having only packaged food to then having no food at all to asking certain friends and family to stay put and don’t fly.
The dallas Judge then announced a state of emergency, that there should be no gatherings over 10 people and then 5 days before their wedding the dallas Judge announced the Shelter in place restrictions that would take affect in 24hrs. Clint heard this announcement on the news at 10pm and quickly called Allyssa and asked if she wanted to get married the next day.
She said yes and they called their 10 people including Dave Sterrett to officiate, Christy Lord to take pictures, Lee Sherman, Jason Jean, Madi Simpson & Abe Marks to professionally film their wedding, and flautist: Michelle Pokley.
Allyssa had to work the following day, while her sister was fixing her hair and makeup. Clint took the day off to organize the wedding and at the end of the day they got married on Monday March 23rd.
Clint is still editing the video, but you can watch a preview of the wedding on the link below.

Our Story
Clint and Allyssa first met at 'The Porch,' a young professionals ministry in Dallas. Clint had his eyes on Allyssa and cleverly asked for her number so they could "all hang out as a group." Clint called Allyssa to her surprise and she said yes to a dinner date. Their First date was at an Indian food restaurant where they had immediately connected and knew they wanted to get to know each other more. They have enjoyed long walks on the beach..kayaking, hiking, apologetics seminars, missions, and growing their faith in Christ day to day. Clint and Allyssa became a couple July 3rd at the fireworks show in Addison, TX. They both are excited to live a life in pursuit of Christ together and to spur each other on in life's adventures.
Our Proposal
Clint started the morning by taking Allyssa on a beautiful walk at Malibu state park. Previously that year Clint had prayed for a Godly woman at this spot. Allyssa had also prayed around the same time for a godly guy to come into her life. They shared this with each other and continued their hike exploring and adventuring just as they hoped their life would continue to be together. Afterwards, they headed to a nice dinner where Clint conspired with a local photographer and his wife to meet at Pointe Dume, where he planned to get down on one knee and propose, unbeknownst to Allyssa, who was just trying to spot a Whale while waiting for Clint to return from the bathroom(he was taping his microphone under his shirt like a secret agent). After the check was rung they then went to Point Dume where Clint led Allyssa up the cliff(she was rockin those heels). Clint pointed to a general direction and asked Allyssa to take a look. Allyssa, not seeing the direction and catching on to Clint's plan, thought a rock climber would pop up with a 'Will you marry me.." sign. But Clint redirected her sight to the photographer and videographer who were hidden in plain sight. And there he began to tell her all the things he loved about her and that she was his proverbs 31 woman. He got down on one knee and asked the question. Allyssa then said yes(three times by the photographers request). They then took the hike down and had a great ending with the most beautiful sunset they had ever seen which Clint had prayed for earlier that day(if you don't think so look take a look at the video below) AND SO THE JOURNEY BEGINS!
